The Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) is a Ugandan not-for-profit organization whose mission is to strengthen health systems in Africa, with strong emphasis on infectious diseases, through research and capacity development. IDI has six operational areas through which it works to achieve its mission: Prevention, Care and Treatment; Training, Research, Laboratory services (including the CAP-certified IDI Core Lab & Translational Lab), Global Health Security and Health System Strengthening.

General summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Training Operations Manager, with direction from Trainers, the Operations Officer will coordinate: logistical aspects related to the implementation of the training program and the living and transportation needs of the trainees and the safety, use and tracking of training equipment and resource materials. Additionally, the Operations officer will take on general office administrative and operations responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

The District HIV prevention and Key Population Program Officer will provide technical assistance to field office and HF staff and DHTs to ensure timely attainment and sustenance of quality HIV/AIDS prevention services especially those targeting key and priority populations
The Research Assistant will be required to give overall support to both the clinical and administrative teams on the study. The individual should be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
The epidemiologist will work with the program leadership at IDI and the SLL program monitoring unit at Africa CDC to support the documentation of success stories, generation of hypotheses and scientific writing efforts across all SLL partner implementation efforts. The role shall also include supporting capacity-building efforts to establish knowledge management hubs and working with the program academic consortium to maximize scientific and scholarly output from the SLL program.
