General Summary

Responsible for sample transportation from lower health facilities to the hubs, post office and deliver results back in a timely manner ensuring high level of biosafety-biosecurity  standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick client samples from designated IDI-WHP supported health facilities and deliver them from to the designated lab hub for testing. 
  • Pick results from the Lab hubs and deliver them to the respective health facilities. 
  • Ensure safety and security of client samples during transportation to the lab hubs for testing. 
  • Maintain utmost confidentiality and protection of client results and any other related information during the transportation results to the health facilities. 
  • Timely response and availability at the required facility whenever called upon to offer support 
  • Ensure safety and security of the bike during sample transportation process 
  • The Rider shall have his/her own bike, the biked used shall be in a road worthy condition and the rider shall have full licensing permit and a third party insurance to ride as guided by the Traffic and Road Safety act and any other relevant laws of Uganda

Person Specification

  • Minimum of UCE  
  • A valid permit 
  • Owns a bike with third party
  • Basic motor bike maintenance and proper documentation 
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to interact productive and accurately with other team members 
  • Self-motivated, innovative and capable of meeting deadlines 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to work in team in a respectful way

The District HIV prevention and Key Population Program Officer will provide technical assistance to field office and HF staff and DHTs to ensure timely attainment and sustenance of quality HIV/AIDS prevention services especially those targeting key and priority populations
