Infectious Diseases Institute aims to evaluate whether a community-facility case management intervention will increase the proportion of patients retained in care at 6 months post-ART initiation among HIV-infected individuals who initiate ART in a Test and Start model in Kalangala District of Uganda as compared to a retrospective cohort of HIV-infected patients (registered in care between January 2013 and December 2014) who never received case management, under the project; “The Implementation and Evaluation of Community and Facility HIV Case Management in Kalangala District, Uganda (HOP project)”. In order to strengthen support to these core areas of operation, IDI is in the process of recruiting a qualified individual to fill the position of a Coordinator as part of establishing this HOP program.
