Dr. Richard Brough is a prominent health leader with over a decade of experience in planning and managing health services. He served as the Executive Director of the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) at Makerere University, where he played a pivotal role in its development and growth. Prior to this, he was Head of Strategic Planning and Development at IDI and acted as Executive Director in late 2014. With a strong background in operational research, Dr. Brough has worked across the South Pacific, Philippines, India, and Uganda, collaborating with various development agencies to enhance health outcomes and strengthen health systems in resource-limited settings.
