Allan is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Research Department at the Infectious Diseases Institute. He holds a degree in Pharmacy and an MSc in Pharmacology, and is completing his PhD in Pharmacometrics at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Allan’s research leverages pharmacokinetic modeling to optimize dosing regimens, with the goal of improving treatment outcomes for TB and HIV. He is currently involved in the TAP study, which focuses on pioneering therapeutic drug monitoring of antibiotics in a clinical setting to prevent the development of antibiotic resistance.
