Dr. Kenneth Kobba, MBChB, MPH

Kenneth Kobba holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from Gulu University, and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Clarke International University.

Over the years, he has gained expertise in clinical care, clinical research, surveillance, and building health programs. Kenneth’s areas of interest include Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), Acute Febrile Illnesses (AFI), and Infectious disease outbreak preparedness and response. He was among the first responders, having participated in identifying the first case. He is currently the Program Manager for the US CDC-funded Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) Surveillance Program, which aims to establish HAI surveillance in Ugandan hospitals. He is the Clinical Coordinator of the National Acute Febrile Illness Surveillance program that aims to strengthen early warning systems and epidemic intelligence for Infectious disease outbreaks.
