Yuka Manabe is a renowned infectious diseases expert with a distinguished career spanning over two decades. As an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University, she has made significant contributions to the field of global health, particularly in the areas of HIV-TB co-infections and diagnostic innovation. From 2007 to 2012, she served as the Head of Research at the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) in Kampala, Uganda, where she built a strong research infrastructure and trained numerous Ugandan researchers.
