HEALTHCARE FINANCING

Empowering Local Action

IDI’s regional Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) projects take a collaborative approach to empowering district health teams. We provide subgrant funding, enabling these teams to conduct crucial performance reviews and offer targeted support supervision to healthcare facilities.

These grants are guided by partnership agreements and strategically aligned with the Uganda Health Financing Strategies. This ensures funding is utilized effectively and supports district local governments and healthcare facilities in leveraging available resources. The Uganda Health Financing Strategies promote exploring various funding avenues, including innovative results-based financing schemes, to support critical activities and contribute to a more sustainable healthcare system.

By providing financial resources and fostering a collaborative environment, IDI’s HSS project grants equip district health teams with the tools and support needed to drive improvements within their local healthcare systems.
