Strengthening Health Systems, Delivering Results

For more than 20 years, IDI has been a steadfast champion for improved health service delivery in Uganda. Our commitment extends beyond simply providing healthcare – we focus on enhancing and fortifying existing health systems at both the facility and community levels. This aligns perfectly with our comprehensive health systems strengthening approach.

IDI fosters strong partnerships with local government structures. Through this collaboration, we provide customized technical support and capacity building initiatives. Our goal? To ensure health services are accessible, affordable, and meet the highest quality standards. Furthermore, these services must be responsive to the specific needs of each community, adhering to Ministry of Health guidelines.

Empowering healthcare workers is central to our mission. We achieve this through targeted training, mentorship programs, and collaborative technical support supervision with regional referral hospitals and district health teams. This empowers healthcare professionals to effectively plan, deliver, evaluate, and continuously improve the quality of services offered.

By strengthening health service delivery, IDI makes a significant contribution to achieving universal health coverage.
