IDI is excited to announce new Quality Management Systems courses (QMS) for laboratory personnel, namely:

• Quality Management System (ISO 15189:2012 STD) – 5-day training.
• Risk and Risk Evaluation: Internal audit, risk management, identification management and documentation of non-conformities – 5-day training with 2 days of post-training auditor evaluation.
• Performance Evaluation: Management Review and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) – 5-day training, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) – 5-day training.
  IDI offers alumni of these courses a post-training follow-up package to ensure that challenges encountered during implementation are addressed.

Justification for these new trainings:
Patients/users/customers of medical laboratories everywhere desire precise and accurate results with the ultimate goal of improved treatment outcomes.
IDI decided to build its capacity to deliver these courses in order to contribute to the Uganda National Health Laboratory Services (UNHLS) efforts to ensuring Ugandan laboratories meet the quality and competency requirements. These courses are prerequisites to ensuring conformity to set laboratory policies and procedures as well as national and international statutory guidelines.

All laboratories seeking accreditation should have their personnel trained in these courses.
