Research Pharmacy

At IDI, research pharmacy plays a crucial role in supporting clinical research studies by overseeing the use of investigational medications, ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and the safe conduct of human research involving protocols with investigational drugs. The specialized unit provides expert consultation to investigators, maintains drug inventories, facilitates drug utilization, and offers services like protocol development, drug storage, blinding integrity, randomization schemes, and regulatory compliance. The unit is essential in promoting collaboration, innovation, and a safe research environment while contributing to the advancement of healthcare through the development and implementation of new therapeutic agents.
